Welcome to Fairtrade Cornwall - a new umbrella for all businesses and organisations distributing, selling and promoting the use of FairTrade products in Cornwall.

The website www.fairtradecornwall.com has a growing directory of outlets where you can obtain FairTrade goods. One of our ambitions is to move Saltash Town towards obtaining FairTrade status - perhaps this will be one of our goals for 2009. Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 is from 23rd Feb to 8th March - lets make every day after that a Fair Trade day. |

After the success last winter we are again running a sequence of film shows over the Winter. They are on the second Friday of every month and start at 7:20pm in Saltash Guildhall. The next one, the Richard Atenborough film, will take place on Friday 12th December. The programme after Christmas is yet to be finalised but the dates are Fridays 9th January, 13th February and 13th March |

Following the meeting last May we are looking at ways of buying locally produced food and goods. We are compiling a local food guide and looking into starting a Farmers' Market in Saltash. |
